Romeo A. Lainez, MD, FACS

Dr. Lainez’s greatest wish is to see his patients succeed – a champion in your corner from diagnosis, to the most important day of surgery and onward through post-op. He believes that when doctors treat patients like family, both get the results they’re hoping for. He wants his patients to rest easy, knowing that they are in capable hands.

Experience is foremost for Dr. Lainez. It may seem like another day in the office for us, but we participate in likely one of the most frightening days in some of our patient’s lives. Capital Surgeons is not just some “weight-loss clinic”; it’s a group of highly professional surgeons seeking to provide the smoothest and most pain-free care possible – that doesn’t abandon its patients after the surgery is done.

Dr. Lainez has experience in a broad range of state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgeries such as advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, bariatric surgery including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, Lap-Band® maintenance/removal and revision surgery, plus colon surgery, abdominal/intestine surgery, GERD treatment/antireflux surgery, robotic hernia surgery and breast disease (breast surgery and breast biopsy).

Willing to take on any patient, no matter the complexity; Dr. Lainez strives to take his time and listen to patients before and after surgery to find the procedure best tailored for them. It’s important to Dr. Lainez that patients be actively involved in their care and always be on the same page regarding treatment decisions. He is available, approachable, and ready to answer any questions about your condition.

Dr. Lainez enjoys playing guitar, working at animal shelters, snowboarding, reading books, watching movies, and CrossFit training.
