Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.
I have always been confident in my own skin however I noticed after gaining weight simple things like bending over to pick up something had become difficult. It took so much energy just to do normal daily functions. The turning point is when I went on vacation and saw myself on a video rolling out of an inter tub trying to get up.
How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in? If you put off the decision, why did you wait? What eventually made you decide to “go for it”?
I had tried several weight loss plans and had been visiting with my PCP over the course of a few years as he would see me lose 30 pounds and gain back that plus more until May of 2021 he asked if I had considered the gastric sleeve. After that appointment I went home that night, did some research over the next week. I decided to call and book my consultation and never looked back.
What was it like to work with the team, from the start of your journey to today?
Dr. Eric Acheson is my hero and completely changed my life. His bed side manner is top-notch and I am feel blessed to have him as my surgeon.
Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery. What is the #1 thing you love being able to do now (that you could not do before)?
My life now is completely different. My kids can’t even keep up with me. I have lost over 100 pounds and feel like I did in high school. It is the best decision I ever made.
