Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.
Hi! My name is Linda and 7 months ago I weighed 222 pounds. I was miserable! I was embarrassed to be around my family and friends because of my weight. I tried various diets which most were very expensive to stay on and lost little weight. I wasn’t able to get out and work in my yard like I used to, I got winded trying to walk up stairs or even just going for a walk around the block. Getting up and down from the floor was a major challenge.
How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in? If you put off the decision, why did you wait? What eventually made you decide to “go for it”?
I had been thinking about weight loss surgery for a few years before I contacted Dr. Achenson’s office. I was afraid they would tell me I didn’t weigh enough for the surgery because I was turned down previously by a different doctor’s office.
What was it like to work with the team, from the start of your journey to today?
Doctor Acheson’s team made me feel comfortable in their office and they were easy to talk to. They were very helpful in getting me appointments for tests that was needed and getting my paperwork done before the surgery date.
Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery. What is the #1 thing you love being able to do now (that you could not do before)?
I feel so much better getting the weight off. I have so much more energy and I can finally get out and work in my yard. I feel so much better about myself and can finally get back into my cute clothes that I’ve been hanging on to for a long while!
