About Dr. Jonathan B. Lundy

Dr. Jonathan B. Lundy brings more than 20 years of surgical experience and a distinguished career in trauma, burn, and hand surgery. After earning his medical degree from East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine, he went on to complete rigorous training in several of the nation's top military medical centers.

His advanced training includes fellowships in:

  • Trauma & Surgical Critical Care
  • Clinical Burn Care
  • Hand & Microvascular Surgery (University of Pennsylvania)

During 27 years of service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Lundy cared for soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Qatar, treating some of the most complex injuries under pressure. This experience shaped his precise, steady approach to patient care.

Since retiring from the military, Dr. Lundy has continued serving the Austin community through Capital Hand & Wrist Center and as a surgeon at a Level 2 Trauma Center, where he provides emergency surgical care and advances protocols in burn and infection treatment. His volunteer work with the Get Up Project Hope Clinic further reflects his commitment to making expert care accessible for underserved patients.
